: He was an exceptional student, passing secondary school at the age of 14. He couldn’t sit for the IIT entrance exam due to his poor English proficiency,
He passed out of Delhi College of Engineering at the age of 19. he could hardly understand what was taught in class. vijay was spend a lot of time in the Computer Room, browsing the internet and dreaming about being in Silicon Valley, the mecca for worldwide innovation.

A startup in college:

In the end of his college days most of young and bright engineering graduates were excited about being placed, but he had built his first company in the name of ‘XS Communications’ when he was in 3rd. year of his college life
‘XS Communications was college-based startup that created Content Management Systems. By then, he had learnt to code all by himself and had designed a Content Management System with his class mates.which went onto being used by some of the biggest news publications including The Indian Express.He started working for Intersolutions but he Quit his job in small period of six months, and he was started work to built his own company
In 2001 he start his one more company one97 communications(P) Ltd with his former colleague Rajiv Shukla(co-founder). but cofounder left him.company went into loss with the dotcom bust in 2001.
He started using public transport, lived on 2 cups of tea, it was hard time for him again but he never give up and continue do hardwork. he wants to start a business again but his father asked him to take a job.
he joined startec Global communications as a consultant. he borrows rs 8 lakh from his parents and sister to start all over again.
the way forward was the telecom sector which was opening up.
He hires 7 (Astrologers) and started again making money out of astrology phone-ins.
waiting for a break, suddenly find out Bharti airtel Ltdwas intrested in creating live astrology call centers.
the dial -in model foe phone systems are interested him, ans started providing VAS fir mobile phones for Airtel under revenue share model. He worked hard to turn things around and revenue shot up.
in 2005 he got married to Mridula
when smartphones becoming popular, he decided to do something at world wide, and big eureka moment came in 2010. he got the idea of entering the payment eco system in front of his board. And he launches PAYTM(pay through mobile) online recharge portal. and he launches paytm e-wallet and now days India’s first bank with zero fee on online transactions, no minimum balance and free virtual debit card.
Vijay stands testimony to the saying, "A man makes his own destiny."

Welcome back to Shortlearner. In the last tutorial we taught that how to hide a folder in drive, and how to password protect a drive, now Today we will learn how to protect our files and folder from being copying and deleting.

Now a days to protect our data ,files, folders, photos  etc from copying or deleting is very important because sometimes our important things is get copied by the unwanted person so ,learn how to protect it.

Step1:  Right Click on the folder and click on properties.

Step2:  Select the security tab and then click on advance button.

Step3:  Click on change permission.

Step 4: Select the Name whose permission you want to change and click on Edit button.

Step 5: Select the permission you want to allow or deny .In my case I have deny delete and change permission. After clicking on managing permission you can check which permission is for which use.

Then click ok and then apply and close all window.

Step 6: It will display a warning message so click on yes.

Now your folder is safe it will not be copying and deleting by anyone.

Remember: The same procedure is used when you want to remove these permission.

There is a pre install software in our windows operating system, known as BitLocker comes in windows 7 or windows 8 so, by using this we can easily lock any drive and can also unlock it using that. So just follows below steps and make your drive password protected...

Step1:  Go to the control panel.

Step2: Click on category at the right of the screen and select small icon from the list.

Step3: After that click on BitLocker Data Encryption.

Step4:Click on Turn on bitLocker of the drive whom you want to lock.

Step5:check on use a password to lock a drive.

Step6: Type the password.

Step7: After that it will ask for where you want to store the recovery key .It will help you if in future you forgot the password then you can see the password in that file.Keep the file at save place so,nobody can see that or you may delete this file if you have confidence that you will remember the password.Click on save the recovery key to file.

Step 8: Click on start Encrypting.It will take few seconds to complete this process.

Note: To open the drive right click on drive and select unlock the drive and after that type  password and click ok.

Remember: To Unlocked the locked drive do the same process and click on Turn off BitLocker.

Step1:   open the system properties form control panel .

System and security-> system->sytem protection 

Step2: system restore should be “ON” of all drives.

If this is not done you are not able to recover them. 

Step3: suppose a folder “doc1” is deleted from your pc. Then you have to make a new folder and rename it “doc1” exactly the same name of deleted folder name.

 Step 4: right click on doc1 folder and goto  properties and click on previous  versions. Now you see the doc1 file is appear here  so restore it and press ok.

Step5:  a dialogbox is open “ are you sure you want to restore it” so press restore button  now a message is appear on screen “the folder is succesfully restore at the previous version”.

Step 6: when  you open  your doc1 folder you see your files are restore on the same place.

Step2: Click on Encrypt Document.

Step3: Type the password.

Step4:  Renter your password and click ok.Now your document is password protected.

Note:  This Method  is for window 7 other windows may have different option in menu File.Ckeckout  which option you have and do it.

Method 2:

Using this method file or folder both get protected.For  this method winrar software is required or any rar file making software.

If the software is installed in your computer then follows below steps:

Step 1: Go to the folder and right click on that.

Step 2:click on the add to archieve.

Step 3: Select advanced tap and click on set password.

Step 4: Type the password and click ok.

Note:  In this method copy of the document is created so,Delete the actual file and keep copy.The rar file of the document get created in this.Image given below

If you want to shutdown your computer in a given time, you can do it easily after following this simple steps :

Step 1: Open cmd prompt .

Step 2:Shutdown –s  -t  3600

             (3600 seconds=1hour) ,This will shutdown your pc after 1 hour

 Step 3: But later you decide to abort it or cancel it then write

             Shutdown –a

    

You  also use to schedule a restart by using different parameter type shutdown help and this will list all the parameter

                           Find  IP address of any website

you can find out IP address of any website by following this steps

 just enter  “nslookup” command along with the name of the website. For example  you can type “nslookup google.com” to find its IP address .

                                check your internet  connection

If you want to check your internet is currently worked or not , you can easily check this by using a single command,just follow this simple steps that are given below :

Step 1: Open cmd prompt .

step2:  write ping google.com

if there is reply then it means internet is working if not then your internet connection is off.

One of the basic problem with command prompt is cut and copy the command. We can’t cut or copy our command in cmd. But you can do copy or cut your command,After following steps that are given below :

   

 Step1:   Right click  on top of your command prompt

               Go to properties

Step 3: Then go to cmd mode and then when you are selecting the any line you simply select it by drag your mouse and press  control +c for copy line and paste it whenever you  want it.
